Kalenike, a peasant from Lechkhumi who has come to Kutaisi to sell walnuts, ends up at a wrestling show, where he tries his hand at the arena. He discovers an extraordinary talent for boxing. His coach and patron Baadur Kherkheulidze signs a contract with a foreigner and travels with Kalenike to Paris , where adventures await them.
