What if Gonzo narrated your childhood trauma with jazz hands?
The Muppet Script returns to bring you THE MUPPET SCRIPTMAS CAROL! When most people think of the Muppets, they think of the colorful characters made out of fleece and foam. But as with every movie, it all starts on the written page. Before returning to the big screen, the Muppets team returned to the writers' room. Muppets scribe JERRY JUHL was inspired by CHARLES DICKENS’ classic holiday tale to take the gang to merry old London in the 1800’s, in their first movie without creator JIM HENSON, directed by his son, BRIAN HENSON. The movie featured the return of maestro PAUL WILLIAMS to craft a soundtrack that is just as timeless as Dickens’s original novel.
Acting
Dastmalchian's Gonzo-Dickens hybrid is unhinged brilliance.
Writing
Juhl's script balances Muppet anarchy with genuine pathos.
Score
Paul Williams sneaks bangers into your holiday depression.
Director
Matt Wilkie
